At Bird we work with brilliant people in the not-for-profit sector to help them build robust self-care toolkits in order to stay resilient.
We work on dealing with self-sabotage, developing mindful or meditative practices, building strategies to process emotions, establishing boundaries so resilience is preserved and built.
But beyond all of the strategies, we give clients space. Coming on a coaching call, or coming to a workshop gives individuals permission to stop for a while and reflect and observe all that’s going on for them.
We live in a super fast paced world, where there is little time for anything, and it’s easy to lose sight of who we are at our core, what our values are and the impact we really want to make whilst we’re here on planet earth.
Having protected space is so very important in order to make sure life is working for you and not the other way round. That protected space can be coaching, reflective group meetups, therapy or even blocked off time in your work diary for a walk and a meditation at lunch every day.
We’re not meant to move through life on a conveyor belt of doing. We’re here to be, here to create and here to feel. But without taking time to check in with ourselves and reflect no being, creating or feeling is possible.
So take that time to reflect, give yourself that space, it is in itself a highly self-caring strategy.
Sending love as always, Hannah
